Firefox 3.6 RC2 Released; Version 4 Should Arrive in 2011

Again without much fanfare on Sunday the Mozilla released the second Release Candidate of the browser Firefox 3.6.

Although not disclose details about the new features implemented, the Foundation reports that “over a million” users are testing the browser, which will have its final version released before the end of the month, after a series of delays.

Together, all versions of Firefox have 300 million users worldwide, indicate its developers.

Firefox 3.6 will be the last evolution of the program before the arrival of a new generation. The development of Firefox 3.7, which should arrive in the third quarter of this year bringing as big news a redesigned interface, was canceled last week after the Mozilla Foundation announced a “change of plans” and say that concentrate their forces in the next generation browser, to be known as Firefox 4 and must land – according to the optimistic forecasts – on the network in early 2011.
